ConsignIt Mom
Semi-Annual Children and Home Consignment Sale
Evansville, Indiana

New Procedures and Limits for Spring 2020 sale

  • Reduced limits on items.  The default items entered limit upon registration is 100 items.  If you have sold more than 75 items in the past sale, we will increase this limit accordingly.
  • New sale hours: Our two-day sale will now be full price on Friday, March 13th, from 8 am – 6 pm, and our Saturday sale, which will run from 8 am – noon, will be a discount sale all morning.
  • New pick-up day and procedures. Over the years, we have had a number of requests to change pickup times so that they don’t interfere with church services, and with our noon closing time on Saturday, we will now be able to make that change.  Pickup will now be from 4-8 pm Saturday, March 14th, with no Sunday pick-up.  You will need to locate some of your items at pickup, so please plan ahead.  Additional details are outlined in the “Pickup” section below.
  • Drop-off times and procedures are changing!  Our drop-off procedures are being overhauled and simplified.  You will now sign in, pick up your consignor passes, and immediately put out your items.  Because we are limiting the number of items consigned, we trust you will bring only your best to sell, so you will now bring in your clothing items and put them away without being checked.   Instead of checking the clothing of individual consignors, our check-in volunteers will check our racks and remove items that do not meet our requirements.  Items pulled from the racks by our checkers will not be sold, so please do not bring stained, torn, out of style or out of season clothing!  If you have marked all your items discount “yes” and donate “yes”, you may drop off your items in our designated “Speedy Dropoff” area and we will put them out for you!  You can be in and out in a matter of minutes if you choose to discount and donate all of your leftovers.

We have made these changes to reduce the number of items being consigned and to hopefully reduce the number of items remaining after the sale.  We understand many consignors want their unsold items back and are working to find a way to make sure they are able to find them after the sale is completed.

Consigning is Easy!

1. Register online for a consignor number.

2. Prepare items as follows:

  • Hang clothing on wire or plastic hangers. The hanger needs to face left so it looks like a question mark (?) (see pictures on right). You can often pick up wire hangers at local thrift stores or reuse the wire hangers from the items you purchased at our last sale! Dry-cleaners often give away wire hangers.
  • Pants/shorts/skirts need to be safety pinned to the top half of the hanger (see bottom picture on right).
  • For Outfits, hang shirts first, then turn the hanger over and safety pin the bottoms to the top half of the hanger (see middle picture on right).

    • Enter tags

    • Enter tags by logging in to your account or registering for a new account using the links to the left and selecting "Enter Items".  Complete the information for the item and then click "Add Item".  Continue entering information for each item.
    • Print tags by logging in to your account or registering for a new account using the links to the left and selecting "Print Tags".  Then follow the directions for generating your tag printout.  (To print your tags for free, you must log in to your account from a link on our website.)  We will be scanning items at check out and therefore tags need to be printed according to the following directions so that they will properly scan.  Please follow these steps when printing tags:
      • Paper weight - use 60# - 67# paper or 110# card or cover stock, do not use regular paper.
      • Paper color - white or pastel paper only.  Dark colored paper will not scan.  WHITE is the best choice.
      • Printer Settings - use NORMAL or DRAFT settings.  Best quality can sometimes be  too dark and causes barcodes to bleed.
      • Printer Color - print with "Black Cartridge" only.
    • Safety pin your tag to clothing on the right front (see pictures on right).  Pin should go in and out of the tag on the http://www.myconsignmentmanager.com line.
    • Tape index card with clear packing tape to toys, books, videos, cribs, baby equipment etc. Please use one piece of packing tape only and do not put tape over the barcode.
    • Groups of Books should be placed in a ziplock or tied together with string.  The card should then be taped on the outside of the bag or on the top book.
    • Shoes may be tied together with string, shoelaces tied together, held fast with safety pins, or, if it won’t hurt the shoes, held together with clear packing tape. Please only bring your best shoes!
    • Get ready for our next sale! As your child outgrows clothing wash it, tag it, and hang it. This will make preparation a breeze for our next sale!

Remember - Items will sell best when they look new. It’s worth your time to launder and press clothes and clean up baby equipment.

    3. Enter item description and price.  We recommend you enter your items in multiples of 8 and print as you go (enter 32-40 items, then print and attach tags)

    4. Print Tags.  (To print tags for free, you must log in to your account from a link on our website.)  Tags print 8 to a page.
